General definition:
PAM is short for polyacrylamide, polyacrylamide is a water- soluble high polymer and widely used in petroleum, paper making, metallurgical, textile, chemical and environment protection firlds.There are three categories of anionic, cationic and non-ionic type. Different application need different grade of polyacrylamide.

According to its characteristics, polyacrylamide can be divided into four categories: anionic polyacrylamide, cationic polyacrylamide, non-ionic and Zwitterion polyacrylamide.

Anionic polyarylamide 
Anionic polyacrylamide has a wide range of uses such as in Petroleum, metallurgy, electric power, chemical industry, papermaking, printing and dyeing, coal, tanning, pharmaceutical, food, stone,and so on,in which APAM can be used in solid-liquid  separation,industrial waste water treatment and the recycling of waste water.
Polyacrylamide can also be divided into solid granular and liquid forms according to the form. The solid state is the anion, cation, non Zwitterion, and the liquid state is the liquid state formed by diluting and dissolving these solids in a certain proportion. The shelf life is not as long as the solid state shelf life. Generally, the ratio is the same.

Cationic polyacrylamide  
Cationic polyacrylamide can be used in industrial waste water treatment and municipal sewage treatment. It is generally suggested that low or medium ion degree and medium or high molecular weight products be applicable to industrial waste water treatment or the mixture of industrial and municipal waste water treatment,medium or high ion degree and medium or high molecular weight products be applicable to municipal sewage treatment,respectively.Besides,high ion degree products work better in digested sludge treatment.If proper cationic polyacrylamide products are employed after concentration and flotation, organic matter in wastewater can be effectively removed.

1.Purification of urban water supply and drainage: river water, water of reservoir, underground water and so on;

2. Purification of industrial water supply;

3. Treatment of municipal sewage;

4. The recycle of useful substance in industrial waste water and waste residue. Promoting the sedimentation of pulverized coal in coal-washing waste water. And the recycle of starch in starch manufacturing industry.;

5. Many kinds of industrial waste water treatment: printing and dyeing waste water, leather waste water, fluoride waste water, heavy metal waste water, oily waste water, paper making waste water, coal-washing waste water, mine waste water, brewing waste water, metallurgical waste water, mear-packing waste water, sewage treatment;
