Ammonium persulfate is a white single crystal with a density of 1.98. It is completely decomposed at 120 ° C. When it is completely dry, it can be stored for a long time without decomposition and is not easy to absorb moisture. However, it gradually decomposes to release oxygen and ozone after absorbing moisture. Dissolve in water and decompose under heat. It has strong oxidizing properties and can be used as a chemical reagent, oxidant, bleach, deodorizer, and initiator for monomer polymerization. It also has the advantages of convenient use and safety.

Storage:

Ammonium persulfate is nonflammable, but it can release oxygen and has a combustion supporting effect. When it is stored, it must be stored in a dry and closed container to avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. Do not contact with organic matter, rust, a small amount of metal and other reducing substances to prevent the decomposition and explosion of Ammonium persulfate. As the wet Ammonium persulfate powder and its aqueous solution have bleaching and slight corrosion effects, direct contact with eyes, skin and clothing should be avoided during use.

Application

Polymerization: Initiator for the emulsion or solution Polymerization of acrylic monomers,vinylacetate,vinylchloride etc.and for the emulsion co-polymerization of styrene,acrylonitri le,butadiene etc

Metal treatment: Treatment of metal surfaces(e.g. in the manufacture of  semiconductors;cleaning and etching of printed circuits),activation of copper and aluminium surfaces.

Cosmetics: Essential component of bleaching formulations.


Textile: Desizing agent and bleach activator - particularly for cold bleaching.
