Acrylic acid, is an organic compound, chemical formula for C3H4O2, colorless liquid, pungent odor, and water miscible, miscible in ethanol, diethyl ether.  Active chemical properties, easy to polymerize in the air, hydrogenation can be reduced to propionic acid, and hydrogen chloride addition to produce 2-chloropropionic acid, mainly used for the preparation of acrylic resin.
