Physical and chemical properties:
Copper oxide (CuO) is a black oxide of copper, slightly amphiphilic, and slightly hygroscopic. The relative molecular weight is 79.545, the density is 6.3-6.9 g/cm3, and the melting point is 1326 ºC. Insoluble in water and ethanol, soluble in acid, ammonium chloride, and potassium cyanide solutions, slowly dissolved in ammonia solution, capable of reacting with strong bases.
Main use:
1.Pesticide fungicides;
2.Used for fireworks and firecrackers, as a surface heat absorber for solar energy;
3.Used for glass, ceramics, enamel, artificial silk, ferrite magnetic materials;
4.Electroplating of electronic circuit boards;
5.Artificial rainfall and catalysts.
