Ammonium persulfate  is white crystal or powder. No smell. Dry pure product can be stable for several months, when wet, gradually decompose to release oxygen containing ozone, heating will decompose oxygen and become ammonium pyrosulfate. Soluble in water, aqueous solutions are acidic and decompose gradually at room temperature

Metal treatment: Treatment of metal surfaces(e.g. in the manufacture of  semiconductors;cleaning and etching of printed circuits),activation of copper and aluminium surfaces.

Cosmetics: Essential component of bleaching formulations.

Textile: Desizing agent and bleach activator - particularly for cold bleaching.
